The Sudarshan Setu, known as the Signature Bridge, This bridge will provide seamless connectivity to the pilgrims going to Bayt Dwarka. The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has inaugurated Sudarshan Setu, the country’s longest cable-stayed bridge. On reaching Beyt Dwarka in Gujarat, the Chief Minister visited the Dwarka Temple.
The unique design of Sudarshan Setu made it unique as it is the longest. It cost more to build than the Chandrayaan-2 mission.
The Sudarshan Setu, known as the Signature Bridge, will connect Beyt Dwarka Island with mainland.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Gujarat. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Beyt dwaraka Sudarshan Setu. The longest cable-stayed bridge in the Beyt Dwarka.
Decorated with hymns of Sri Bhagwat Gita and pictures of Lord shree Krishna on both sides of the bridge, the bridge has footpaths, this bridge is built in a novel design. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the country with a length of 2.32 km. It is known that such a bridge has been constructed for the first time in the country. There is a four-lane road, with solar panels installed to generate 1 MW of solar power.
Beyt Darka will be saved. Earlier tourists had to come and go by boat. Now this problem is claimed to be solved. Punyabhoomi Dwarka is expected to be in the first row on the tourism map. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of this bridge in 2017, he announced that this bridge will connect the two Dwarkas, he actually kept his word.
How much does the beautiful bridge cost?
980 crores have been spent on the construction of this bridge. This beautiful bridge connects Beyt Dwarka with Okha mainland. Beyt Dwarka is located 30 km from Dwarka city. Here is the temple of Lord Krishna. Tourists go to this temple by boat. The construction of the bridge is expected to ease traffic and increase the number of tourists.
The Sudarshan setu , built between Okha and Darka in Gujarat, is the longest cable-stayed bridge in India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited Gujarat on Sunday and inaugurated this bridge.
How was this bridge made?
Engineering excellence has been used in the construction of the bridge. The weight of the bridge is balanced on the wire i.e. it is a suspension bridge. The wires are attached to different poles. The second Hooghly Bridge of Kolkata is also one such bridge. The width of this bridge is 27.20 metres, with footpaths on both sides of the bridge which are approximately 2.5 meters wide. The bridge made the distance between Bayt Dwarka and Okha city very easy.
While inaugurating the bridge, Prime Minister Shri Modi wrote on his X handle that I am very happy to inaugurate Sudarshan Setu today. This bridge is a document of our responsibility towards development and progress.
Before inaugurating the bridge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered puja at the Dwarkadhish temple. Modi inaugurated Gujarat’s first AIIMS in Rajkot this afternoon.
Besides inaugurating the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Rajkot, prime minister modi virtually inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh, Bathinda in Punjab, Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and Kalyani in West Bengal. It is reported that the center has spent 6 thousand crore rupees to complete these projects.
